Coconut Oil for Dry Frizzy Hair

Coconut Oil a Natural Hair Smoother – Get Rid of Frizzy Hair!

If you suffer with dry brittle hair it may just be your hair styling products that are stripping your hair of its natural oils.

This simple and inexpensive trick will help moisturize your hair and nourish it.

For me personally, damp weather makes my hair go frizzy and curly. I spent a small fortune on all types of anti-frizz conditioners and treatments.

If you like to swim in pools in the summer months then chlorine will also dry out your hair.

I was seeking an all-natural solution to this life-long problem which is when I discovered coconut oil.

Coconut Oil for Natural Moisture and Anti-frizz Treatment

Simple, food-grade coconut oil, it has some powerful properties that will help tame your locks.

I love coconut oil I try to have a teaspoon a day, it helps with weight-loss and provides some much needed nutrients.

For hair though, coconut oil can be used to help treat:

Massage coconut oil into the scalp and leave on for 15 mins or more. Rinse off or shampoo as desired. Try our honey shampoo recipe here.

Dry Brittle Hair

Coconut oil is great as a conditioning treatment for dry brittle hair. Warm a teaspoon or two of coconut oil between your hands and massage through your hair. Brush or comb through and wrap your hair in a shower cap or towel (cling film works too!) and leave on for an hour or two. Even better is overnight however you will need to shampoo it out the next day.

Glossy Shine

Use some coconut oil sparingly after shampooing your hair. Avoid the scalp area and concentrate on the mid-section, then brush through. It will bring out a lovely shine. Note: too much will make your hair appear greasy so use sparingly.

Coconut Oil Detangles Hair

I wish I had known this when my daughter was little, we had a terrible issue with combing her hair after her bath.

Simply put a small amount of liquid coconut oil on the comb and comb through hair as normal. It really helps get those tangles out and conditions too!

Frizzy Hair

As demonstrated in the video coconut oil is a great de-frizzer save mega bucks on this simple trick.

Dab your fingers in the coconut oil and gently comb through with your fingers.

These are just a few of the uses for coconut oil for your hair. It is also a great skin moisturizer too!
